Mailer mistake leads to question of trust

The recent mailings I have received from state senate candidate Suzi Schmidt raise a critical question every voter should be asking this November. If a candidate is incapable of providing accurate citations for the claims they make in their advertisements, can they be trusted to be straight with us about anything?

Schmidt wrongly accuses her opponent State Sen. Michael Bond of giving himself a raise, and backs the assertion up with a citation which reads “U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics." This is one example of several incorrectly cited claims in the mail I've received from Schmidt.

When we consider that Schmidt is primarily responsible for our county's budget over the past decade, it is disturbing to see that attention to detail is not, it seems, her strong suit.
