No injuries in Buffalo Grove purse snatching

Buffalo Grove Police are searching for witnesses to a purse snatching Thursday evening.

Cmdr. Steve Husak of the Buffalo Grove Police Department said the victim was walking in the parking lot of 770 S. Buffalo Grove Road when a male ran out, grabbed her purse, and took off through a hole in a fence and into a condominium complex parking area at about 6:40 p.m. Thursday.

The victim was not injured in the heist, Husak said.

Police were called and used a K-9 officer to try and track the felon, Husak said, but the scent was lost and the thief remains on the loose.

He is described as being about 6-feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans at the time of the purse snatching.
