Hanover Park man charged with attempted murder

A 33-year-old Hanover Park man is charged with attempted first degree murder after shooting a woman in the head during an armed robbery, police said.

Admise Wilson, 33, of the 7600 block of Bristol Lane in Hanover Park was arrested at his residence Tuesday after a woman who was shot in the forehead during the robbery at a Hanover Park USA Pay Day Loans was able to identify him as the shooter, police said.

Police responded to the reported armed robbery at the USA Pay Day Loans on the 7400 block of Barrington Road on Tuesday at 2:05 p.m. Officers found the injured female employee, who was bleeding from the gun shot wound to her forehead, conscious and alert.

The victim told police that Wilson, who was a customer, entered the business and shot her in the head before jumping over the counter, stealing an undisclosed amount of money and fleeing the scene, police said.

While in custody, Wilson admitted to his involvement in the incident, police said.

The Cook County State's Attorney's Office has charged Wilson with attempted first degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and armed robbery, according to police.

The victim was transported to St. Alexis Hospital where she is recovering from non life-threatening injuries, police said.

No other individuals were injured during the robbery.
