Elk Grove traffic stop results in arrest

A routine traffic stop in Elk Grove Village ended in a trip to jail for a Carol Stream man.

Elk Grove Police arrested Johnny L. Cruz, 34, of the 300 block of Elk Trail on Saturday after he tried to bolt when stopped for speeding. Cruz was wanted on two bond forfeiture warrants in Kane and DuPage counties, Elk Grove Village Police Sgt. Michael Gaspari said.

Cruz was captured in a parking at Biesterfield Road and Arlington Heights roads.
