Bucks beat Bulls in preseason opener

MILWAUKEE — Earl Boykins scored 12 of his 14 points in the fourth quarter to help the Milwaukee Bucks to a 92-83 victory over the Chicago Bulls in their preseason opener Tuesday night.

Joakim Noah of the Bulls had 10 points, six rebounds, a steal and an assist one day after agreeing to a five-year contract extension worth $60 million.

The Central Division rivals were each without a key player.

Carlos Boozer, the Bulls' major offseason acquisition, fractured the fifth metacarpal bone in his hand Saturday.
