Acclaimed string group perfoming at BHS

The nationally acclaimed string group Barrage will be performing and putting on a workshop for young musicians Thursday, Oct. 7 at Barrington High School.

The concert, sponsored by the McHenry County Youth Orchestras, begins at 7 p.m. String players from MCYO and selected string players from the Barrington area schools will work with the Barrage music director before the concert and then perform with the group.

Barrage has been conducting the special workshop around the country as part of their efforts to expand the perceptions of the versatility of string instruments that are usually relegated to a classical orchestral setting.
