Illinois at brink of disaster
It is far worse than you think. Illinois is totally bankrupt. Our state has more debt per capita than any other state in the union. We are on a par with Greece and the Third World. We rank 47th to other states in job growth. Illinois was ranked 46th by Chief Executive Magazine in their analysis of the best states to do business in and Forbes ranks Illinois 50th (worst state in the union) for debt burden.
Total Illinois debt is $102 billion dollars! State debt has increased 40% since Pat Quinn became Governor.
Right now our state spends $8 billion more per year than we take in. If a public company ran this poorly, shareholders would demand that all of the management be fired and replaced.
What does that mean to us, the voters? It is time to fire the current state management and replace them.
Democrats have run Illinois state government for years. Nothing will get better until they are fired. So this November in the voting booth, pretend you are Donald Trump and fire the Democrats that have brought Illinois to the edge of disaster and elect Republicans for state office.
As Albert Einstein said, "The definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over and expecting different results." Nothing will change until we fire the Democrat-controlled Illinois government that has bankrupted our great state and replace them with fiscally responsible Republicans.
