Wolves release 7; open preseason play today

The Chicago Wolves released seven players from training camp: forwards Mauro Juri, Maxime Tanguay, Kevin Deeth, Chad Costello and Ryan MacMurchy, defenseman Al Dorich and goaltender Kevin Armstrong.

The Wolves will host the Peoria Rivermen in preseason action at the Hoffman Estates Community Center and Ice Arena at 7 p.m. Friday. Tickets are $8 each and can be purchased at the Hoffman Estates Community Center and Ice Arena. Fans can call 847-885-7500 for more information.

The Wolves will open their 17th season in Texas when they battle the San Antonio Rampage at the AT&T Center on Oct. 8. Chicago will face the Milwaukee Admirals in the team's home opener at the Allstate Arena on Oct. 16.
