Dold goes negative on TV
Just one week after Democratic congressional candidate Dan Seals unveiled his first negative TV ad of the campaign season, Republican rival Robert Dold has unleashed his first negative commercial.
The spot, called "Job Killer," began running on cable TV Thursday and is critical of Seals' positions on health care reform, the estate tax and government spending, among other policies.
Dold and Seals are running for the 10th District seat, which serves parts of Cook and Lake counties. The National Republican Congressional Committee has also put together a commercial bashing Seals for his stance on health care reform.
Both candidates have aired multiple ads on local cable TV; neither has yet to put a commercial on network television.
