Find the Bean in 8th Dist.

Why can't our congresswoman talk to us? Other members of Congress stand up and defend their vote. During various breaks from legislating, most members took the time to have open forums so district members could voice their opinions and ask questions. Why can't ours?

Having her aides or associates stand in line at a supermarket asking customers their opinion writing them down, and passing them to their boss does not compare to talking directly to her constituents.

As to the computer-recorded calls, I was not at home when a call came in. I attempted to return it, but after waiting almost an hour on hold, I gave up.

What I find the most irritating aspect of her term in Congress is she professes to be a moderate Democrat. Before every major vote in Congress, she consistently informs the public through the media that she will review the facts. Check her voting record, did any of the "facts" sway her vote? Or was it Reid and Pelosi?

She voted for health care. The public and her constituents were not against health care, per se, but against that bill.

She voted for the stimulus package. What has happened to all "our" money and the additional dollars she has voted to further stimulate our economy? Look at our congresswoman's entire voting record, not what she says.

If there is a Bean out there, it's called a jumping bean.
