Everyone helped to make BG Days great
We would like to extend our thanks to the community for their contributions and participation in Buffalo Grove Days 2010!
Our five-day festival began with the Pink Heals Fire Trucks at the charity baseball game. We continued with Bingo, the carnival, entertainment on three stages, the parade, fireworks, our Food & Fun program for residents with disabilities, and other programs throughout the festival weekend.
Some of the highlights included: 53 entries for the judges to taste at the BBQ Challenge; the Kid's Craft Fair was heavily attended; the Buddy Baseball program; arts & crafts exhibits; Business Fair and the Pancake Breakfast after the 5K run.
Our residents were able to meet the new village manager and his family for the first time over the weekend!
We also had a bride and groom with their photographer taking priceless photos on various rides; a young man asking his girlfriend to a Homecoming Dance; and a celebrity basketball player attending the carnival with his family!
Our committee of 52 volunteers worked tirelessly and selflessly behind the scenes to provide an entertaining weekend for over 50,000 people passing through during the festival.
We could not do this without the assistance of various departments within the village including the Police, Fire, Public Works, Park District and the administrative staff. We also thank St. Mary Parish for the use of the football field.
Thank you all for attending and participating. We look forward to seeing you again at Buffalo Grove Days 2011!
