Get deals and help school foundation at Viva Geneva

There are many things that make Geneva special. Several of the things that make it a wonderful place to live are its supportive community, great schools, and vibrant and unique downtown. Geneva Academic Foundation is showcasing these aspects through its second annual Viva Geneva Saturday, Oct. 2.

This is a festive shopping event and fundraiser. Proceeds go toward grants for all Geneva Community Schools. These grants provide funds for supplemental programs, equipment, and educational resources such as microphones, multimedia cameras, printers, microscopes, pedometers, and science specimens and models. Funds for gardens, the PRIDE volunteer program, and assemblies also have been provided to the schools by the foundation through events such as Viva Geneva.

By purchasing a ticket, Viva Geneva shoppers can enjoy special events, fun promotions, tastings, live music from local residents and schools, a scavenger hunt, and much more.

A portion of the ticket price goes directly to Geneva Academic Foundation and is tax-deductible. Every ticket holder will receive a large coupon book with special downtown discounts and $25 in Geneva Chamber gift certificates that never expire. If you love to run, there is a 5K Fun Run and Youth Mile at 10 a.m.
