Dead woman found under car in Batavia
A Batavia woman was found dead underneath a car apparently at her home Friday morning, police confirmed Saturday.
At 10:52 a.m., police and the Batavia Fire Department were dispatched to a home in the 1400 block of Georgetown Drive in response to an emergency call that a woman was pinned under a car in her garage, according to a news release.
Paramedics determined the woman was dead at the scene. Authorities do not suspect any foul play, pending an autopsy, the release said.
Police were not releasing the woman's identity or any other details until they notified the rest of her family, nor would they comment beyond the information in the news release.
Kane County Coroner Chuck West could not be reached for comment Saturday. The coroner and Batavia police continue to investigate.
