Miller, Stevenson tops at Sunset Valley

Highland Park invite: At Sunset Valley Golf Course, Stevenson tuned up for Tuesday's North Suburban Conference meet by shooting a winning 331, 5 strokes better than runner-up Highland Park.

Stevenson's Stephanie Miller was medalist with a 77, edging Highland Park's Jane Seder (78).

Stevenson also counted Nikki Marquardt's 81 (tie for third), Nicole Crosby's 86 (sixth) and Claire Lavezzorio's 87 (tie for seventh).

Vernon Hills (376, sixth) was paced by Lauren Groody's 93 and Anya Mollenhauer's 94.

Freeport invite: At Park Hills Golf Course, Libertyville (385) finished sixth, well behind champion Crystal Lake Central (337).

Marilyn Stone led Libertyville with a 90.
