Western Illinois storms past Indiana State 40-7

MACOMB -- Bryce Flowers and Caulton Ray each ran for two touchdowns and more than 100 yards to lead Western Illinois to a 40-7 victory over Indiana State on Saturday.

Flowers finished with 192 yards and Ray picked up 115 as the Leathernecks (3-1, 1-0 Missouri Valley) ran for a season-high 384 yards.

Brock Lough ran in the only touchdown for the Sycamores (1-2, 0-1), who had just 173 total yards.

The Leathernecks took the lead early, pulling ahead 20-0 in the first half, and continued their run in the second with the help of a touchdown each by Josh Gabelmann and Lamor Hickman.

Western Illinois finished with 403 total yards.
