Carmel drives away from Marist with a win
Carmel 20, Marist 16: Brian Brennan scored from 20 yards out with less than two minutes left to cap a 99-yard drive, as the Corsairs knocked off the defending Class 8A state runner-up in Chicago.
The win kept Carmel (5-0, 3-0 East Suburban Catholic Conference) undefeated.
Carmel got 207 rushing yards from junior fullback Jordan Kos.
Brennan's drive ended a drive that ate up nearly nine minutes on the game clock.
