Vote for history of success in Kirk
Here we go again, national politics have taken center stage in Illinois. Mud is flying in every possible media outlet, and it's only going to escalate.
I have been particularly intrigued by the extremely tight race between Mark Kirk and Alexi Giannoulias. Through the mud, I have been trying to find the difference between the two and ultimately it comes down to comparing résumés.
Kirk has worked effectively as a member of Congress for a decade, as well as working with the United Nations and serving honorably in the U.S. Navy.
Giannoulias on the other hand has failed as a banking executive in his family's bank and failed as our state treasurer, losing enormous amounts of money in some of our state's most protected investments.
While neither candidate is perfect, how can we give a promotion to a 35-year-old man who hasn't succeeded in his career?
The choices might have some flaws, but we have to pick the guy who has a history of success in Mark Kirk.
