Scouting Round Lake at North Chicago

Last week: Round Lake lost to Vernon Hills, 60-0; North Chicago lost to Lakes, 41-14.

Skinny: Since snapping its 26-game losing streak with a Week-2 win over Sullivan, Round Lake has surrendered 103 points in back-to-back losses to Grant and Vernon Hills. Panthers RB/DB Jacoby Griffin continues to make plays. He leads Round Lake in rushing (279 yds., 6.6 avg.) and scoring (26 pts., 4 TDs) and came up with his second and third interceptions of the season against Vernon Hills. ... North Chicago has suffered losses to Marian Central (56-12), Maine West (14-6), Lake Zurich (36-0) and Lakes (41-14). Against Vernon Hills, North Chicago got a 45-yard TD pass from Jermaine Garrett to Daryle Pearson but turned the ball over four times, throwing 3 interceptions.
