Politicians either don't get it or don't care

Springfield and Washington either don't get it or they really don't care what we think.

Gov. Quinn has a lot of campaign promises every day to fund all kinds of projects that make sense, but are we printing more money that we don't have? Giannoulias has a family bank failure, mob connections and bad loans, Bright Star failure, state of Illinois debt and he now wants to play with federal funds.

You have got to be kidding.

Are we squabbling between issues and integrity regarding our money with Giannoulias or incorrect comments by Mark Kirk? Melissa Bean promised to be different from Phil Crane. What did we get? A Democratic version for Congress that gets more money for campaign contributions from outside her district, so nothing changed in the 8th Dist. She has scripted performances and venues that minimize her contact with her constituents.

These three candidates cannot help the high number of unemployed veterans or the rest of the community.

Elected officials are our employees, not the Democratic or Republican parties!
