Let tax law stay on books
The tax increase law that is being hollered about was written by the Republicans. It is a Republican designed and enacted statute. Why are they so upset with the law the Republicans passed through the reconciliation process? This is the same process the Democrats used to pass the health care law.
Now it seems neither party likes the reconciliation process. Taxpayers, get even. Let this tax law stay on the books and expire.
Even though capital gains taxes will go up just like the Republicans planned, the Democratic Congress just passed a small business help law that says any business that buys equipment or increases the size of a factory to hire more workers gets a full tax write-off.
Just think, loose capital gains benefits gain business expansion tax credits. The whole program will cut unemployment, just as the Republicans and the tea party members want. This program cuts the federal deficit.
