Boyz II Men to play at North Central College

In the 1990s, Boyz II Men scored huge worldwide pop hits (and melted young women everywhere) by bringing hip-hop's energy and attitude to traditional soul and r&b. The group will try to get the party started again this weekend in the suburbs.

Info: 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at North Central College's Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave., Naperville. $60 to $75. Call (630) 637-7469.

Back to 'The Wall'

Time to fire up the old lava lamp! Roger Waters, a driving force behind legendary rock band Pink Floyd, will perform the classic album "The Wall" in its entirety today in Chicago, the last of four performances at the United Center.

Info: 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, at the United Center, 1901 W. Madison St., Chicago. $55 to $250.

Unique soundscapes

Glen Ellyn native Joe Haege's new band is Tu Fawning, a collective of musicians who produce eerie, compelling songs that include everything from trumpet to piano to marching band-style drums. The group's debut record, "Hearts on Hold," is out Oct. 5, but Chicago-area residents can get a preview this weekend.

Tu Fawning opens for Menomena at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Metro, 3730 N. Clark, Chicago. $17. Go to metrochicago.com.
