Kane Countybull; Nicholas R. Gaye, 28, of the 07N00 block of Watseka Avenue, St. Charles, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct Sept. 15 after he threatened to harm a woman and burn her house down, according to a police report. Police said Gaye denied making such threats. bull; James L. Pierson, 23, of the 200 block of Fourth Street, St. Charles, was arrested at 12:33 a.m. Saturday on a charge of disorderly conduct after he placed a ladder against his ex-girlfriend's home on the 38W300 block of Foxwood Lane in St. Charles Township, according to a police report. Officers responded after another woman at the residence called 911 to report a possible burglary in progress. Police said Pierson was taken into custody at gunpoint after he was found hiding in bushes behind the home. He later told police that his girlfriend had broken up with him, and he had intended to climb the ladder to speak to her but was afraid of heights. bull; Eric E. Grandberry, 25, of the 400 block of Courtland Street, Atlanta, Ga., was charged Sept. 7 with failure to register as a sex offender, according to a police report. Police said Grandberry was in the county jail after being arrested in a traffic stop when police discovered he was in violation of the sex offender registry. bull; A fight involving two dancers at Blackjack's Gentlemen's Club, 6N657 Route 25, near Elgin, was reported Sept. 15. According to a police report, one dancer said she was spat upon and repeatedly punched in the head by another dancer in a dispute over the victim not helping the attacker off the stage after a performance. Police said the victim declined to press charges. bull; A window and a window screen were reported damaged Saturday at an office building at Trellis Farm and Garden, 2N492 Kirk Road, near St. Charles, according to a police report. The owner told police a key from a forklift also was stolen. bull; A hit-and-run crash was reported at 6:09 p.m. Saturday on the 04N500 block of Babson Lane, near St. Charles, according to a police report. A witness told police she was sitting on her front porch when a dark brown Honda CRV with tinted windows pulled into her driveway and then backed out, striking her mailbox. The Honda was last seen traveling south with a damaged passenger-side taillight. bull; An Xbox, a Nintendo Wii, several video games, two baseball hats and four bottles of alcohol were among items reported stolen Sept. 15 from a residence on the 35W800 block of Crispin Drive, near Elgin, police said. According to a police report, officers found a cut window screen at the rear of the home.bull; Four buildings on the 2N400 block of Kirk Road, near St. Charles, were damaged by graffiti, according to a police report filed Saturday. Police said officers found four empty cans of spray paint at the scene. bull; Evangelica Rodriguez, 30, of the 400 block of Slade Avenue, Elgin, was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and no valid driver's license after rear-ending a car at Route 38 and Meredith Road, near Maple Park, at 2:59 p.m. Monday, police said. She was released at the scene with an Oct. 6 court date.
