Aurora shooting may be gang-motivated
Aurora police have not ruled out gang motivations in the Wednesday night shooting of a 20-year-old resident on the city's near east side.
Jorge Aguilar, of the 600 block of South Kendall Street, was shot in the 100 block of North State Street, police said Thursday morning.
When police arrived, he was not breathing and was pronounced dead.
Police said they determined Aguilar and his unknown assailants were on foot at the time of the shooting. They observed three subjects fleeing east on Fulton Street after the shooting.
No one is in custody at this time but spokesman Dan Ferrelli said police are investigating some leads. Anyone with information can call police at (630) 256-5500 or make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000
