Speaker will discuss her memoir of China
On Tuesday, Sept. 21, the Dundee Township Rotary Club welcomes guest speaker Jennifer Hou Kwong (Jian Ping) at noon at Emmett's Ale House, 128 W. Main St., West Dundee.
She is president and founder of MoraQuest LLC, specializing in bridging cultural differences between the East and West.
She will address her book, "Mulberry Child: A Memoir of China," published in 2008. The book recounts her family's struggle to survive the Chinese Cultural Revolution. The book is being developed into a docudrama film by director Susan Morgan Cooper.

Since the publication of her book, she has become a sought-after speaker on topics related to China, women's leadership, immigrant assimilation, and writing.
Over the past 15 months, she has given more than 50 talks to business/social organizations, universities, schools, and special groups, including the Illinois World Trade Center, the Federal Asian Pacific American Council, the International Women's Association, University of Chicago, Benedictine University, Loyola University, DePaul University, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
