Get pumped about health at Rock the Heart fundraiser

Since 2004, the Fox Valley Heart Foundation has been working to raise awareness about cardiovascular health. To further this mission of educating the community about heart health, the Fox Valley Heart Foundation and Aurora Community Heart Clinic will host "Rock the Heart," a fundraiser, on Friday, Sept. 24, at Balleydoyle Irish Pub and Restaurant in downtown Aurora.

The celebration will include raffles, wine and cheese tasting, beer and drink specials and a pub scavenger hunt. Attendees will also be treated to live music from Grand Staff Jazz, the VanDammes! with pop/rock, Fresh Nuts with rock/alternative rock, and Pandora's Kingdom, tribute to female rock legends.

According to Dr. Santosh Gill, president and founder of the Fox Valley Heart Foundation, "The support for the Rock the Heart fundraiser has been amazing. It is the type of event that people can get excited about and it is a fun way to get the message out about the great work being done to in our community through the Heart Foundation."

Rock the Heart will be from 5 p.m. to midnight at the Balleydoyle Irish Pub and Restaurant at 28 W. New York St. in Aurora. A donation of $10 per person includes a free raffle ticket and event T-shirt.

Tickets to Rock the Heart can be purchased online at foxvalleyheartfoundation.org. For information, call (630) 697-5052.
