More discussion, less bashing, please
Telling, isn't it, that after a year and a half in office President Obama now spends more and more of his time bashing Republicans in his speeches. You would think that he would want to spend some time talking about the two huge pieces of legislation that he signed into law: the stimulus package and the health care bill.
But the president and the liberal candidates he is supporting can't distance themselves fast enough from these two mammoth failures. The stimulus plan that was sold to us as a job creator has been clumsily repackaged as a job saver. As for the health care bill, Democrats are telling their candidates not to talk about how it is going to save us money or allow us to keep our current plans anymore. They've realized that nobody believes them.
So instead of talking about what they have accomplished with the presidency and majorities in both house, wobbly kneed Democrats can only whine about Bush and try to blame the Republicans. For a president and a party that was going to bring us hope and change, Democrats now seem to be hoping that we won't remember what they changed.
