Parker's Muslim column heretical
I understand that this is mostly a letter and thoughts of the writer - columnist Kathleen Parker - but she must have not said that everyone in America thinks like her.
In my opinion, it is a very offensive column not only to pastor Terry Jones, but also to all Christians.
How could she call his church a building with a cross on it, saying that Mr. Jones calls this his church? His church is as good as Kathleen Parker's, if she has one. Mr. Jones has the same rights as Kathleen Parker to express his thoughts, and they are, in my opinion, much better than the ones of Kathleen Parker.
He was expressing his discontent regarding the site of a proposed Muslim center in New York, and Americans across the country, I assume, have the same thoughts. He did not do anything wrong. He merely expressed his message, so the world would hear it.
This is, after all, a very controversial issue and all opinions are vital. Regarding the Muslim center site, Parker writes: "even though a majority now say they would prefer the center be built elsewhere. This can't be explained rationally because this is purely an emotional response."
Of course, all people are stupid, they are emotional. Therefore, other people go ahead and do with Americans and their land and their lives whatever you want, they are purely emotional.
Moreover, Kathleen Parker said that Mr. Jones was "nobody" and might have 50 or so people who cared what he said.
Really, the entire world cared very much, including our president and many other dignitaries around the world.
She is just as brainwashed as very many people in media these days. It would be much better for her to shut up instead of writing such heresy.
