DuPage Symphony, Marklund partner

DuPage Symphony Orchestra has formed a relationship with Marklund, which gives care for those with severe developmental disabilities, as part of its focus on "surrounding the community with music" by providing awareness and support for other DuPage County service organizations.

To prepare for Marklund's Spring Fling Dance in May, the orchestra will hold a community dress-clothing drive in conjunction with its 8 p.m. March 19 performance of "Barber & Bernstein." Community members are requested to bring gently used semiformal clothing for children and young adults, including dress pants, shoes, button-up shirts, dresses, blouses and skirts.

Any donations not selected for use at the Spring Fling Dance will be sold in the Marklund resale store in Wood Dale. Marklund will welcome donations in advance of the March clothing drive. For details, contact www.marklund.org or (630) 593-5482.
