'Best president' tag works for other side

The letter-to-the-editor debates between Steve Toye (conservative), and Lanlan Hoo (liberal) have been spirited and thought-provoking. The online postings defending either Toye or Hoo have been equally lively.

Coming from the "conservative" camp, I felt compelled to add an observation. Hoo argues Toye is wrong with his assertion of an ongoing "liberal revision of history." In support of his position, Hoo proclaims "President Carter was among this country's best presidents." With one sentence, Hoo has just proven his adversaries' point.
