Elginbull; A scaffolding set valued at $3,040 was stolen between Aug. 23 and Friday from the rear of a home in the 200 block of South State Street, according to a police report.bull; Someone stole a $200 car stereo between 12:01 and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday from an unlocked 1990 Cadillac DeVille in the 300 block of Silver Street, reports said.Kane Countybull; A dancer at Blackjack's, 7N657 Route 25, near Elgin, reported a manager stole $50 in cash and $450 in "Blackjack Bucks" from her at 1 a.m. Sept. 6, police said. The "Blackjack Bucks" are scrip patrons can use to tip dancers.bull; Alejandro Sanchez, 20, of the 100 block of North Longwood Street in Rockford, was charged with possession of cannabis (1.7 grams) at 4:48 a.m. Sunday at Randall Road and Route 72, near Elgin. He was a passenger in a car stopped for investigation of improper lane use.bull; A burglar smashed a window on a vehicle and stole an Escort Redline radar detector between 10 p.m. Saturday and 9:06 a.m. Sunday in the 38W600 block of Ridgewood Lane, Elgin, police said.bull; Jeffery J. Johnson, 26, of the 1500 block of North Avenue in Round Lake Beach, was charged with possession of cannabis (2.5 grams) and illegal transportation of alcohol, according to a police report. Deputies report finding him and a passenger asleep in a car parked at McDonald and Burlington roads in Burlington at 6:46 a.m. Sept. 9. An open 24-ounce can of beer was on the center divider, and the cannabis was found in the glove box after Johnson consented to a search of the vehicle.McHenry Countybull; Nicholas Jilek, 26, of Elgin was arrested Wednesday and charged with residential burglary, theft and criminal damage to property related to a home burglary in Marengo in May, according to a police report. Jilek is already in Kane County jail on unrelated residential burglary charges.
