Naperville liquor store worker robbed
Naperville police are investigating an early Monday morning armed robbery of a liquor store employee.
An employee of Extra Value Liquors, on the 1500 block of Route 59, was robbed at gunpoint as he walked to his vehicle in the parking lot at 1:30 a.m., Naperville police Sgt. Gregg Bell said.
A late-model blue Chevy Caprice pulled up and a male passenger confronted the victim as he was walking through the parking lot. The employee handed over an undetermined amount of cash, as well as business receipts from the liquor store, Bell said.
The suspect's vehicle, which contained two occupants, fled the scene on Route 59, Bell said.
One of the suspects was described as being 5 feet 11 inches, weighing about 200 pounds, and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and possibly a ski mask. There is no description of the driver, Bell said.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information about it or the suspects involved, are asked to call Crime Stoppers in Naperville at (630) 420-6006. All callers to Crime Stoppers remain anonymous, and a reward up to $1,000 is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest.
