More info needed on 3rd-party choices

With the November elections not far away and the Blago trial a fresh memory (or nightmare) for most of us, I would like to express my extreme disappointment with our choices for governor and senator for the state of Illinois. Once again, we, the voters, don't have choices of candidates that will really make a difference. It's no surprise that we are the laughingstock of the country. When was the last time you cast a vote and felt like the person you were electing truly had our citizens' best interests at heart?

I wish that the Daily Herald and other news outlets would write more stories about who the other candidates are in these races. Since the Democrats and Republicans have let us down once again, perhaps one of the other parties' candidates have better solutions to this state's overwhelming problems.
