Hampshire's Connie Ellett shoots 73 to win tourney

Hampshire junior Connie Ellett was on fire Saturday.

Ellett shot a 1-over par 73 at Prairieview in Byron to win the Stillman Valley Invitational and lead the Whip-Purs to the team championship as well.

Ellett's round led Hampshire to a 345, which bettered Hononegah by 4 shots for the title.

Hampshire senior Taylor Ellett, Connie's sister, was second with an 80. The Whip-Purs also counted a 91 from Grace Jakubowski and a 101 from Karla Vietinghoff in their winning effort.
