St. Charlesbull; The driver's side mirror of a car parked on the 3600 block of Provence Drive was smashed when someone flung a pumpkin at the car while it was parked between Aug. 30 and 31, police said.bull; Luis Gomez, 56, of the 2000 block of Berkshire Circle in Carpentersville, was arrested Aug. 31 on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, driving too fast for conditions, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving without a valid driver's license, according to a police report. Police received a call about a hit-and-run accident on North Kirk Road near Dunham Road. The driver of the car that was hit told police he was stopped at the traffic light when Gomez' vehicle rear-ended his vehicle. The driver then pulled over and got out of his car, but the car that struck him sped off. The driver who was struck wrote down the license plate number of the vehicle as it sped away. The driver then attempted to follow the vehicle that hit him, but stopped when the other car began to drive erratically. East Dundee police later located Gomez as the offending driver and arrested him after Gomez was involved in two other hit and run accidents in their community. bull; Joseph Paul Pryor, 33, of the 2000 block of Westridge Boulevard in Bartlett, was arrested Sept. 1 on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, speeding, improper lane usage, disobeying a stop sign and driving too fast for conditions, according to a police report. St. Charles police were called to assist detectives with the arrest of the driver of a vehicle speeding through the area. Police located Pryor's vehicle traveling east on West Main Street at a speed in excess of 50 mph while driving in the median lane past all eastbound traffic. Pryor attempted to make a right turn on South 4th Street, but ran off the road, over the curb and struck several signs. Pryor then exited the vehicle and began to run. Police chased him and saw Pryor try to hide under a truck parked on the 300 block of Walnut Street. Police extricated Pryor and arrested him. Police then learned Pryor was also wanted on felony drug charges by Batavia police.Bataviabull; Someone broke two windows, possibly with golf balls, between Thursday and Monday, in the 2300 block of Collins Court, police said.bull; Someone shot out a window at Menards, 300 N.
