Storytime guest reader at Arlington Hts. library

Nina Mariano, wife of Bob Mariano, chief executive officer of Roundy's Supermarkets Inc., will read "If You Give a Cat a Cupcake," by Laura Numeroff and illustrated by Felicia Bond, at story hour 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Mariano's Fresh Market, 802 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights.

Parents are asked to register their 3- to 6-year-olds for Tales for Tots before 10 a.m. Tuesday because 25 children and parents are about the number that can fit comfortably in the cafe.

Each week's story is tied to groceries, of course, and youngsters will get treats for attending. Other dates are Sept. 22, Oct. 4 and Oct. 20.

Parents can register by stopping at the customer service center or by calling (847) 253-5439.

Arlington Heights Memorial Library staff members are participating in the program.
