Your Health: Chicago's Urbanathlon is on for next month

Urbanathlon onGuys will be leaping tires and swinging from the monkey bars at this year's Men's Health Urbanathlon and Festival in Chicago on Saturday, Oct. 16. The nine-mile course is a one-of-a-kind obstacle course set against the backdrop of city landmarks. Organizers of the event from Men's Health magazine are revamping the course to include balancing on concrete barriers at Navy Pier, monkey bars at McCormick Place and a stair climb at Soldier Field."By increasing the number and intensity of various obstacles throughout the course, the Men's Health Urbanathlon challenges participants in a way that sets this event apart from other races," said Jack Essig, senior vice president/publisher of Men's Health. "It's one of the reasons why so many people participate year-after-year and also why we've decided to up the ante in 2010 - we want to give our competitors more of what they want. This year's event promises to be the most exciting and challenging one yet."
