Expert to discuss cemeteries

Palatine Township currently maintains five historic cemeteries that contain the remains of many of the area's founders.

Helen Wildermuth, owner of Stonehugger Cemetery Restoration Inc., will give a presentation at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, about headstone restoration, the care of pioneer cemeteries and how they serve as a link to a community's past. It will take place at Palatine village hall, 200 E. Wood St.
