Carpentersville man held on aggravated driving charge
A 34-year-old Carpentersville man was ordered held on $50,000 bond Saturday after a traffic stop led to a charge of aggravated driving on a revoked license.
A Cook County judge set bond for Eric Holmquist, of the 2200 block of Morningside Circle, who was stopped by South Barrington police Friday in a grocery story parking lot.
Holmquist served 23 months probation for a 2007 conviction of obstructing justice, has a 2005 DUI conviction from DuPage County, was convicted of retail theft in 2002 and burglary in 1999, said Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Haley Peck said. He was sentenced to three years in prison for the 1999 burglary. He next appears in court on Sept. 27.
