Scouting the Galaxy: The Galaxy (13-5-4, 43 points) still has the league's best record despite a 1-3 August. Edson Buddle leads MLS in goals, and Landon Donovan is the leading assist man.
Scouting the Fire: The Fire (6-7-6, 24 points) will get Wilman Conde back but will miss Freddie Ljungberg because of a yellow-card accumulation suspension. Marco Pappa and Deris Umanzor will be on national-team duty. A full house is expected at Toyota Park.
