Keeping silent only when convenient

What's up with the Obama State Department sending Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf on a Middle East trip sponsored and paid for by the U.S. government (us)? Where are all the left-wing politicians and ACLU who scream the loudest for separation of church and state? There certainly is a silence to hypocrisy when convenient.
