Prostitution sting nets heroin arrest in Carol Stream
A Chicago man and woman were charged with possession of heroin after police organized a prostitution sting at a Carol Stream hotel, authorities said Thursday.
Police said Leanne L. Spatafora, 22, and Bradley A. Vance, 27, were arrested Aug. 25 after police answered an ad on the Craigslist website and arranged a meeting at the hotel. Spatafora showed up with Vance, who police said had 22 bags of heroin in his vehicle.
Both were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance. Spatafora also was charged with misdemeanor prostitution while police charged Vance for driving with a suspended license.
Spatafora's paid the 10 percent of $25,000 needed to bond out and will appear in court Sept. 20. Vance remained in custody Thursday with bond set at $10,000, meaning he would need to pay $1,000 to bond out. He he is due in court Tuesday.
