This is not my America
First came the cameras, "just to keep us safe," then the mandatory seat belt law, "for our own safety," no smoking, no cell phones, no salt, no sugar, "just to keep us healthy." Soon there will be government regulators on our thermostats, it will be voluntary at first, just to "help save the planet." Monitoring the Internet, "just to help us decipher good from bad."
Our government in major cities is protecting the identity's of law breaking illegals; thousands of anchor babies are born every day. We are forced to support these illegal aliens and their children for life. Why don't more of us see what is happening?
When will America realize that the unemployment some of you are accepting for over two years will be paid for by your grandchildren with a 60-80 percent income tax. That is not unemployment, America, it is welfare. Stop the insanity.
Are a vast number of us really socialist at heart who will roll over and become servants to our government just for the promise of a free ride? Have we gotten that lazy and complacent?
I never thought I would see a day when so many would allow so few to take charge of their lives.
Well not in my America, not this American. Not now, not ever.
