Man in mask robs Huntley bank at gunpoint
A masked man robbed a Huntley bank at gunpoint Monday evening, making off with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
A man walked into Citizens Bank on the 12000 block of Regency Square Parkway and displayed a large silvery revolver while he demanded money from a teller, according to a news release.
After the teller put money on the counter, the man grabbed the cash and ran out of the bank through the front door, police said.
He drove out of the bank's parking lot in a white or cream-colored compact car, possibly an older Ford, and traveled in an unknown direction, police said. The suspect is described as a white man between 30 and 40 years old, with light-colored, possibly blond hair, police said.
He was last wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt, blue baggy paints and a black ski mask.
Police said the man stands between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs between 160 and 200 pounds.
