Thanks for Frontier Days help
The board of directors of Frontier Days Inc., also known as Festival, wishes to thank many people and organizations for another successful year.
We appreciate the Arlington Heights Park District for allowing us to use Recreation Park and for their help with setting up and maintaining the park throughout the event.
We also want to thank the police and fire departments for providing us with protection. The Public Works Department helped by posting signs and planning for parking around Recreation Park.
Thank you, too, to Mayor Mulder and the board of trustees for their proclamation honoring our 35 years of Frontier Days.
We are also grateful to our many sponsors. Their contributions helped us to provide many of our activities and entertainment. We have worked with Jeff Blomsness of North American Midway Entertainment for all 35 years.
A huge thanks to the wonderful volunteers, known as Red Shirts. This year, 325 people volunteered their time to run the various events and booths. Our great co-chairs, Dave Wiltse and LeAnn Lenz, had the responsibility for planning and organizing all activities. They were helped with these plans by the wonderful coordinators and chairmen for every event. Every event needed lots of preparation and our wonderful volunteers.
We also want to thank our many patrons for attending and supporting our Festival. We are proud that we are a private organization and do not receive funds from the village or park district. Because of this, we have been able to provide a fun-filled Fourth of July Festival for Arlington Heights for 35 years.
We have begun planning for Frontier Days 2011. If you want to volunteer to join us, check out our website at frontierdays.org. Thanks Arlington Heights, and plan to join us for our 36th year!
