Build NYC mosque somewhere else

In Kathleen Parker's column of Aug. 23 regarding Ground Zero For Freedom, she states, "The mosque should be built precisely because we don't like the idea very much."

She is correct. I don't like the idea, as do many. And while the owners of this particular piece of personal property do have the law of their side, reason should, at the very least, float to the surface. I can expect neither sensitivity nor tolerance, as time and again Muslims fail to embrace.

Don't forget why the mosque at Ground Zero is referred to as The Cordoba Project. Cordoba is a city in Spain and when the Muslims defeated the Christians in battle there many years ago, they built the third largest mosque in the world to celebrate their victory over the infidels.

The Jihadists have said they would kill the infidels and build a mosque on their ashes. That explains why they're so adamant about sticking to the site rather than building it at one of the alternative sites in New York City.

Peaceful, huh? It's more than "just a mosque" ... it's a victory monument for Islam in their war against us, the infidels. Yes, we teach tolerance by being tolerant and, as a result, our culture is now so politically correct that, if anything, the pendulum has swung too far. However, this is one time the government has a duty to consider the public's sensibilities. There is absolutely no downside to moving this mosque somewhere else.

Parker also implies that to oppose the mosque, rather to oppose Muslims at all, could set off violent repercussions and so is simply safer to give Muslims what they want. So let them proceed? Or maybe they have us where they want us. Frankly, Americans have tolerated enough.
