Carpentersvillebull; Bond was set at 10 percent of $30,000 Friday for an Algonquin cabdriver of selling pot in Carpentersville. Alexis D. Ojea, 40, of the 100 block of Main Street, was arrested at 10:20 p.m. Thursday at Maple and Lord avenues and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of 10 to 30 grams of marijuana, and two counts of delivery of marijuana of 2.5 to 10 grams, police said. Carpentersville Police Cmdr. Timothy Bosshart said undercover officers twice bought marijuana this summer from Ojea, who would come to the drug deals in his cab. Police pulled Ojea over Thursday and found him with 24.35 grams of marijuana, Bosshart said. Ojea is due in court on Sept. 2.Elginbull; A man with a sawed-off shotgun robbed a convenience clerk in the 1000 block of McLean Boulevard of $452 and several packs of cigarettes at about 4:04 a.m. Thursday and fled in a Chevy Camaro, either red or maroon, reports said. The clerk was not injured.bull; Cristian Santiago, 27, of the 800 block of South Liberty Street, Elgin, was arrested and charged with two counts of battery and one county of criminal damage to property at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, reports said. He is accused of attacking a female co-worker in the 2700 block of Technology Drive and breaking her glasses, reports said. Santiago told police he believes she vandalized his car, reports said. He is due in court on Sept. 17, reports said.Huntleybull; Three propane tanks were stolen on Aug. 17 from a business on the 11400 block of Smith Drive, police said.
