Police: 2 people injured in Alton school bus wreck
ALTON -- Authorities in Alton say two passengers of a mid-size school bus were injured in an accident involving a sport utility vehicle.
The Telegraph newspaper in Alton reports that victims of the wreck about 2:30 p.m. Thursday included a school bus monitor and a young female passenger. They were taken to a hospital, where their medical status was not immediately known.
Witnesses say the SUV hit the bus' driver's side.
Police said only three people were on the bus.
The SUV's driver declined medical treatment.
