Oswego's Hunt Club development adds affordable series of homes
Developers of Hunt Club, a clubhouse community of single-family homes in Oswego, are excited to walk homebuyers through their new Hamilton series model homes.
"The introduction of this series reflects our commitment to making homeownership as affordable as possible," said Donna Zizek, director of marketing. "The models give visitors a chance to walk through these attractive homes in a scenic country setting.
The Town & Country Homes community, set on 476 acres of natural rolling terrain, offers an abundance of open green space, preserved wetlands, pocket parks and walking trails. Residents enjoy the clubhouse with outdoor pool, great room, fitness center and kitchen.
The on-site elementary school is a big plus for families with young children. Hunt Club is located south of Route 71 on Minkler Road.
The Hamilton series includes seven, two-story plans with 2,052 to 3,238 square feet, three or four bedrooms, 21/2 baths and two- and three-car attached garages. Large homesites, winding streets and cul-de-sacs enhance the look of the community.
One of the new models is the Spring Crest, priced from $199,995 with 2,255 square feet, three bedrooms, bonus room (or optional fourth bedroom), 21/2 baths and two-car attached garage.
The emphasis in this home is on informal living space. The flexible front room, although shown as a living room in this model, can serve as a home office, home theater or game room.
The model decor features blues, greens, gray and chocolate, while dark hardwood floors flow throughout the home are topped with accent rugs that add color and texture.
With a touch of sophistication, the living room shows a sofa and two chartreuse chairs that add color. Open shelves display photos and favorite pieces, while artwork depicts hues of blue and green.
To the rear of the home, the expansive kitchen, breakfast nook and family room combine for a large living space where the whole family can gather or where homeowners can host casual get-togethers.
The U-shaped kitchen features stainless steel appliances, light wood cabinets with crown molding, decorative tile backsplash, center island and pantry.
In the breakfast nook, a table with bench seating shows green place mats with teal and chocolate settings. Glass doors open to the outdoors.
The family room features an array of comfortable seating, an entertainment center with glass doors and a fireplace with gas logs and oak mantel.
Upstairs, the loft (bonus room) features a sectional and chairs, a wall of built-ins, plasma TV, and two computer stations. A kiddie table with chairs sits in the corner while a half wall of chalkboard helps family communication.
Topped with a coffered ceiling, the master bedroom shows a four-poster canopy bed, white sheers, large walk-in closet and wallpapered bath with sink and walk-in shower.
A full hall bath serves the secondary bedrooms, which include a nursery with hand-painted sheep on the walls and a room with a race car theme, complete with a track painted on the walls and a 3-D race car display.
Another model in the Hamilton series, the Melbourne, is priced from $218,995. It features 2,638 square feet, four bedrooms plus loft, 21/2 baths and two-car attached garage.
This home, ideal for an active family as well as for entertaining family and friends, shows a lot of chocolates and creams with red accents that contrast with the light hardwood floors.
The foyer opens to the combination living and dining room with a cream sofa and stunning artwork above. A round wood table with five cream leather chairs sits ready for guests. The room pops with a large red vase centerpiece.
A half wall separates this area, but does not close it off, from the family room and casual living space in the rear.
The family room features a brick veneer fireplace with oak mantel, entertainment center with glass doors and plenty of seating. Draperies with a geometric design dress the windows.
In the adjoining breakfast nook, a rectangular table with bench seating and chairs shows an eye-catching coffee bean display. Sliding glass doors open to the outdoors.
The kitchen with coffee motif is outfitted with stainless steel appliances, cabinets with crown molding, and granite countertops. A walk-in pantry and center island offer more storage and prep space.
In the upstairs loft, hooks for backpacks keep things organized while two computer stations and built-in cabinets make this an ideal spot for homework.
Topped with a coffered ceiling and beautiful chandelier, the master suite features a white spread with an array of chocolate and red pillows, sofa and plasma TV, plus a chair and huge walk-in closet. The master bath has two sinks, tub and walk-in shower.
Three secondary bedrooms served by a full hall bath include a little girl's room with hand-painted cupcakes on the wall and her own play gourmet kitchen with stove and sink. A room for the little tyke features a fire truck theme complete with boots, hat and a fire pole, while another room depicts a sports theme in the wallpaper and border.
The community also features the Middleburg series of homes with five floor plans, including a ranch design with basement. Two model homes in this series are open for viewing.
To visit Hunt Club, take Route 34 (Ogden Avenue) west, continue straight when Route 34 becomes Route 71, and proceed on Route 71 to Minkler Road. Turn left on Minkler and proceed to the community entrance. The sales center is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
