Two arrested in reported Naperville street race

Two men face charges of street racing and speeding after being clocked traveling at 106 mph down Route 59 in Naperville, authorities said.

Long Ho, 31, of Batavia and Huy Nguyen, 23, of Plainfield were racing side-by-side on Friday night north from the Leverenz Road intersection, police said.

One was driving a Honda S2000 and the other a Nissan 350Z.

Police stopped one of the vehicles at the intersection of Route 59 and 87th Street, authorities said. The second was stopped a short time later.

"We get quite a few speeders out on 59," Sgt. Gregg Bell said. "A lot of guys think that's a private raceway."

No injuries were reported. Both men are free on bail.
