Carpentersvillebull; Michael C. McMichael, Jr., 20, of the 700 block of Alma Court, Carpentersville, was arrested and charged with felony robbery and aggravated battery on Sunday, authorities said. McMichael is accused of stealing a man's cell phone and kicking him in the head, authorities said. His bond was set at 10 percent of $35,000 and he is due in court on Sept. 1, authorities said.Elginbull; Two men who were released from prison and on electronic home monitoring got into a gang fight at about 3 a.m. Saturday at Sherman Avene and Arlington at a birthday party for a gang member, authorities said. Miguel Covarrubias, 18, of the 400 block of Sherman, Elgin, and Shaun P. Bell, 22, of the 400 block of Arlington, were both charged with felony escape, obstructing a police officer and unlawful gang contact, authorities said. Covarrubias' bond was set at 10 percent of $20,000; he is due in court on Sept. 1. Bell's bond was set at 10 percent of $40,000; he also is due in court Sept. 1. No serious injuries were reported.bull; Arturo Hernandez, 38, and Felipe Serrano, 29, both of the 500 block of Division Street, Villa Park, were arrested and charged with possession of a fraudulent identification card and obstructing identification at 1:10 a.m. Sunday at the Grand Victoria Casino, reports said. He is accused of taking a toolbox from a 1995 GMC Sierra in the Metra Commuter lot, 85 National St., reports said. Officers caught him urinating between two vehicles and saw the stolen tools in his car and a toolbox in the truck's bed wide open, reports said. His bond was set at 10 percent of $25,000 and he is due in court on Sept. 2, reports said. bull; Someone broke into an apartment in the 100 block of South State Street between noon and 4:30 p.m. Saturday and stole a PlayStation 3 video game console and five games, reports said.bull; Jacob Munoz, 51, who is homeless, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass to property at 5:19 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Raymond Street after he refused to leave a yard and harassed homeowners, reports said.bull; Rodrigo R. A woman reported that Aguilar almost hit pedestrians near Dundee Avenue and Franklin Street and led police on a short chase that ended at the school when he was arrested on foot, reports said.West Dundeebull; Maria Arreola-Ordones, 38, 1200 block of East Long Valley Drive, Palatine, was arrested and charged with felony retail theft on Saturday, authorities said. She is accused of stealing more than $150 worth of children's clothes from J.C. Penney at Springhill Mall, authorities said. Her bond was set at 10 percent of $2,500 and she's due in court on Sept. 3, reports said.
